St. Frederick – A Church Formed and Transformed by Faith

Where you are always welcome

For over a century, our church has been a pillar of strength, resilience, and love in our city. Founded in 1893, our rich history is woven with stories of faith, hope, and perseverance. We have welcomed our congregation to worship at our current location for over 32 years, serving as a spiritual home for generations of believers.

As the only African American-led church in the city, we proudly carry the torch of diversity, inclusion, and empowerment. Our doors are open to all who seek solace, guidance, and fellowship, regardless of denomination or race. We believe in the power of unity, embracing the richness of our differences to create a tapestry of love and understanding.

The Word

We believe in the power of the word of God. We Honor the Wisdom of Holy Bible with Faith and Hope.

The Fellowship

Our doors are open to all who seek solace, guidance, and fellowship, regardless of denomination or race.

The Community

Our Mission Outreach is a beacon of hope for the hungry in our vicinity, spreading warmth and nourishment to those in need.

Mission is at the heart of everything we do. From local outreach efforts to international endeavors, we believe in making a difference wherever we go. Whether it’s lending a helping hand to our neighbors or supporting communities abroad, we are dedicated to spreading the light of compassion and kindness. Education is another cornerstone of our church. We believe in nurturing the mind, body, and spirit, encouraging higher education in both spiritual and secular realms. Through our programs and ministries, we empower individuals to pursue knowledge, wisdom, and personal growth. Evening worship services hold a special place in our hearts. Despite changes in contemporary church programs, we believe in the importance of gathering in the evening to worship, reflect, and commune with one another. As active members of our community, we are always ready to lend our support to righteous causes. Whether it’s advocating for social justice, promoting equality, or standing up for what’s right, we stand firm in our commitment to making the world a better place for all.

Join us at St. Frederick’s Baptist Church and become part of a community rooted in faith, love, and service. Together, we can shine bright and make a meaningful impact in our city and beyond.
