024 – Keeping The Sabbath Day Holy:

Jesus the Christ Introduced the Sabbath day:

Exodus 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Exodus 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Exodus 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

Exodus 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.

Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt not steal.

Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

The Sabbath Day of the Lord:

What is the Sabbath Day for you?

In the 10 Commandments, the Lord said Remember the Sabbath day and to keep it holy.

The Sabbath means the day of rest from worldly activities.

The Sabbath is a sign between God and His people.

God created the heavens and the earth in six days and on the seventh day God rested from all of His work.

God had blessed that day the seventh day and He sanctified that day.

Genesis 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

Genesis 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Jesus Christ resurrection was on the Sabbath.

The Sabbath day is the seventh day of the month.

The Sabbath is ordained by God to be a holy day and for us to rest from our work and to worship Him.

The Principle of having a Sabbath Day:

The Sabbath day is where we go and meet together so we all could feel the spirit and learn from others.

Mark 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

Mark 2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

The Sabbath day was created for our benefit to learn and grow.

You need to direct all of our thoughts and all of our actions towards Heavenly Father and towards Jesus Christ.

The Sabbath day is more the resting from our work that we do during the week.

We need to show our love for God on this sacred Sabbath day of the Lord.

You need to read scriptures, family activities concerning the Lord, think about your spiritual questions and difficulties.

You need to renew all of your covenants with Heavenly Father and promises you made in following Him.

Visit the sick, poor, deprived, disadvantaged, and needy with love of service towards them, more so on this day then the rest of the week, which is important too.

Isaiah 56:1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

Isaiah 56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Isaiah 56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

Isaiah 56:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

Isaiah 56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

Isaiah 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

Isaiah 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Isaiah 56:8 The Lord GOD, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

You are not to pollute the Sabbath with worldly things and activities.

Jeremiah 17:21 Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;

Jeremiah 17:22 Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.

Jeremiah 17:23 But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.

Jeremiah 17:24 And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;

Jeremiah 17:25 Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.

Jeremiah 17:26 And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the south, bringing burnt offerings, and sacrifices, and meat offerings, and incense, and bringing sacrifices of praise, unto the house of the LORD.

Jeremiah 17:27 But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

We are not to do normal weekday work on the Sabbath day.

The Sabbath day is for instruction of the Lord and the Holy Ghost will teach you what you need.

The Lord has promised us that as we attend church and keep the Sabbath day holy, He would not destroy us.

We need to bring to the altar of the Lord a contrite heart and sacrifice our time and talents for the Lord.

The Lord’s Sabbath day should be made simple, sacred, and holy.

Many of the Church leaders in the time of Jesus Christ, they got mad when He healed on the Sabbath day.

The Sabbath day was made for the benefit of all men and women.

After His resurrection the Lord changed the Sabbath from the seventh day to the first day of the week.

Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

1 Corinthians 16:1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.

1 Corinthians 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

We are to gather together on the first day of the week for the Sabbath day.

On the first day of the week, which is Sunday, is the Lords Sabbath day, which is a holy day.

With the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, how can this influence your worship on the Sabbath day?

How You Should Keep The Sabbath Day Holy:

How do you sanctify, consecrate, purify, and bless the Sabbath day.

You need to pay your devotions to Heavenly Father.

You need to rest from your daily work.

Your full attention should be for spiritual matters to strengthen yourself.

By keeping the Sabbath day holy, you need to not shop, hunt, fish, attend any sport events or watch on TV or radio, or participate in similar activities on the Sabbath day.

You do not lounge about doing nothing on the Sabbath, for you are not keeping the Sabbath day holy.

You need to do positive thinking and acts that are productive with the will of the Lord.

There are many types of things you could do on the Sabbath day.

Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

Things like; sports, boating, camping, fishing, jogging, watching non spiritual movies or music, house and yard work, vehicle repairs, and many, many more, non spiritual relating subject against the Lord’s will.

You can do many righteous things on the Sabbath day.

Righteous things like; attending church meetings, reading the scriptures or other religious, talks, visiting the sick, visiting the aged, or loved ones, listening to good uplifting music the Lord would be pleased, singing hymns, praying to Heavenly Father, inviting the spirit into your life, church services, family history records and personal history, your genealogy, telling faith promoting bible stories, bearing your testimony, and many more such things.

Renew your life by repenting and forsaking your sins.

You and your family or friends can do a scripture chase.

You can fast for a purpose.

Share your time with children and others in the home.

Write letters to missionaries.

In deciding what other activities you could do on the Sabbath; as yourself, will it uplift and inspire me and please the Lord, too.

You need to show real respect for the Lord.

In doing so, does it direct your thoughts to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ?

There may be times when you are required to work on the Sabbath by your boss.

You need to avoid working on the Sabbath day, but when it is absolutely required, the Lord knows your heart, and you should worship Him in your heart as much as possible while working.

You can think of ways to make the Sabbath a better day for you and the Lord.

Help others to understand the meaning of the Sabbath day.

What Are Some Of The Blessings By Observing The Sabbath Day:

You may receive great spiritual and temporal blessings for observing the Sabbath day.

Matthew 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

If you keep the Sabbath day with thanksgiving and with a cheerful heart, you will find joy and happiness in your days.

Luke 6:2 And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?

John 5:1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

John 5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

John 5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

John 5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

John 5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

John 5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

John 5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

John 5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

John 5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

John 5:10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.

John 5:11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.

John 5:12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?

John 5:13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.

John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

John 5:15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.

John 5:16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

John 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

How long is Eternity?

This life is very short compared to Eternity, this is a test for us here.

Whether we live a few moments in the mother’s womb or 150 years old, compared to the Eternities, this life is nothing, we are here to choose the right and marry and raise a family of children unto God.

Families are forever with God.

The Apostle Paul talks about the 3 Kingdoms or Glories.

1 Corinthians 15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial : but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

1 Corinthians 15:41 There is one glory of the sun , and another glory of the moon , and another glory of the stars : for one star differeth from another star in glory.

Three Kingdoms of Glory:

There are three kingdoms of glory: the celestial kingdom, the terrestrial kingdom, and the telestial kingdom. The glory we inherit will depend on the depth of our conversion, expressed by our obedience to the Lord's commandments. It will depend on the manner in which we have "received the testimony of Jesus".

Celestial Kingdom – Like the - Sun :

The celestial kingdom is the highest of the three kingdoms of glory.

Those in this kingdom will dwell forever in the presence of God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.

This should be our goal: to inherit celestial glory and to help others receive that great blessing as well.

Such a goal is not achieved in one attempt; it is the result of a lifetime of righteousness and constancy of purpose.

The celestial kingdom is the place prepared for those who have "received the testimony of Jesus" and been "made perfect through Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, who wrought out this perfect atonement through the shedding of his own blood".

To inherit this gift, we must receive the ordinances of salvation, keep the commandments, and repent of our sins.

"All who have died without a knowledge of this gospel, who would have received it if they had been permitted to tarry, shall be heirs of the celestial kingdom of God; "Also all that shall die henceforth without a knowledge of it, who would have received it with all their hearts, shall be heirs of that kingdom;

"For I, the Lord, will judge all men according to their works, according to the desire of their hearts".

"I also beheld that all children who die before they arrive at the years of accountability are saved in the celestial kingdom of heaven".

There are three degrees within the celestial kingdom.

To be exalted in the highest degree and continue eternally in family relationships, we must enter into "the new and everlasting covenant of marriage" and be true to that covenant.

In other words, temple marriage is a requirement for obtaining the highest degree of celestial glory.

All who are worthy to enter into the new and everlasting covenant of marriage will have that opportunity, whether in this life or the next.

Love Heavenly Father, Love the Lord Jesus Christ, and Love the Holy Ghost, Be Beloved, Be Holy, Bowels of Mercies, Do All Your Duties, Forbearing One Another, Forgiving, Helping the Poor, Humbleness of Mind, Keep The Commandments, Kindness, Longsuffering, Meekness, Repent and Forsake

Terrestrial Kingdom – Like the - Moon :

Those who inherit terrestrial glory will "receive of the presence of the Son, but not of the fulness of the Father.

Wherefore, they are bodies terrestrial, and not bodies celestial, and differ in glory as the moon differs from the sun".

Generally speaking, individuals in the terrestrial kingdom will be honorable people "who were blinded by the craftiness of men".

This group will include members of the Church who were "not valiant in the testimony of Jesus".

It will also include those who rejected the opportunity to receive the gospel in mortality but who later received it in the postmortal spirit world.

Telestial Kingdom – Like the - Stars :

As one star differ from another star in glory.

Telestial glory will be reserved for individuals who "received not the gospel of Christ, neither the testimony of Jesus".

These individuals will receive their glory after being redeemed from spirit prison, which is sometimes called hell.

Anger, Blasphemy, Concupiscence, Covetousness, Discord, Disobedience, Doing Contrary to the Laws of God, Envy, Evil, False Witness, Filthy Communication, Fornication, Gluttony, Graven Image, Greed, Hath, Did Not Honour Thy Father and Mother, Idolatry, Inordinate Affection, Keep the Sabbath Day, Laziness, Lust, Lying, Malice, Mischief, Neglecting, No Other Gods, Piety, Pride, Shalt Not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbour, Shalt Not Commit Adultery, Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighour's Property, Shalt Not Kill, Shalt Not Steal, Sloth, Take Lords Name In Vain, Triumphing over Others, Uncleanness, Wicked Imaginations, Wrath, and Etc.

Perdition :

Some people will not be worthy to dwell in any kingdom of glory.

A place of outer darkness.

They will be called "the sons of perdition" and will have to "abide a kingdom which is not a kingdom of glory".

This will be the state of "those who know [God's] power, and have been made partakers thereof, and suffered themselves through the power of the devil to be overcome, and to deny the truth and defy [God's] power".

Hands that Shed Innocent Blood

Denied the Holy Ghost

The Lord Jesus Christ, wants the best for you in these Latter-days and it is this sealed book just for you which is not the Bible. The Bible and this other Book will be one in His hand in the Last Days before Armageddon and go to all nations round the world.

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

In the Sacred and Holy Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
