023 – The Sacrament Ordinance In Former Times and Today:

Christ Introduced His Holy and Sacred Sacrament Ordinance:

The emblems of the bread and new wine (water) teach you about the Atonement of Jesus Christ?

The Sacrament is done often to help you to remember the Lord, Jesus Christ and His Atoning Sacrifice, and keep His commandments.

Jesus Chris has commanded us to meet often and partake of His holy sacrament.

His Holy sacrament is a priesthood ordinance so we can think of the Savior’s Atonement for our salvation.

In the ceremony of the sacrament, we eat the bread and drink the new wine (water) as a congregation.

Luke 5:37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
(The drunkard wants old wine.)

Luke 5:38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.

Luke 5:39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.

(Jesus Christ said that through Him, all things are made new, turn away from the old ways and go to the new.)

Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
(For the wicked do not want new wine.)

Luke 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Romans 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

(The wicked wants only old wine, not new wine.)

Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Galatians 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

(Difference between old and new wine, for those of the Lord, drink new wine, not the old wine.)

1 Thessalonians 5:7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

(New wine only.)

1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Those who are weak, for the strong in the faith of the Lord, must set an example for the weak, that we would be accountable for their sins, by drinking old wine which is strong drink.

When they see others drink strong drinks, they feel it is good enough for them to do it at home or where even and they get drunk because of their weakness, is not good, that is why we through the Lord, we use water for the sacrament.

When we partake, we do it in remembrance of His flesh and His blood, which Jesus Christ gave His, life as a sacrifice for our sins.

Doing this, we are renewing our own sacred covenants, like baptism, with our Heavenly Father.

Jesus Christ called His Apostles together in an upstairs room.

Mark 14:15 And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.

Mark 14:22 And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

(Jesus Christ said a Holy prayer when He blessed the Bread.)

Mark 14:23 And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.
(Jesus Christ said a Holy prayer when He blessed the new Wine (Water).)

Mark 14:24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

Mark 14:26 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

(The sung reverent hymns)

To help us to stay strong and faithful, we partake of the bread and new wine (water).

This sacrament helps us to remember Him.

Jesus Christ introduced this sacrament ordinance to partake often.

He broke the sacramental bread into enough pieces and He gave a sacramental prayer and blessed the bread.

Jesus Christ said to take the bread and eat it to remember Him and it represented His body which He gave as a ransom for our remission of sins.

Matthew 26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
(He took bread and broke it into pieces, blessed with a Holy Sacred Prayer, Jesus Christ and the Apostles held the Melchizedek Priesthood to perform this Sacred Ordinance.)

Jesus Christ said to take the cup of new wine (water), and drink it to remember Him and it represented His blood which He gave as a ransom for our remission of sins.

Matthew 26:27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
(He took new wine (water), and blessed it with a Holy Sacred Prayer.)
Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

The Atonement of Jesus Christ with His body and blood is only for those who would repent of their sins, but to all the others that would not repent, His Atonement has no effect at all, they remain in their sins and death, which is eternal.

John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

Other then the Jews, Jesus Christ went to another nation on this earth and gave them the same sacramental ordinances with bread and new wine (water), so they too can remember Him.

He broke the sacramental bread into enough pieces, with them (other sheep or nation) and He gave a sacramental prayer and blessed the bread which is an ordinance of the Lord.

Jesus Christ said to take the bread and eat it to remember Him and it represented His body which He gave as a ransom for your remission of sins.

Jesus Christ said to take the cup of new wine (water) (other sheep or nation), and drink it to remember Him and it represented His blood which He gave as a ransom for your remission of sins.

Proverbs 22:2 The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all.

Proverbs 29:13 The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes.

1 Corinthians 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

1 Corinthians 11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

1 Corinthians 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

(This is a sacred and holy covenant and ordinance of the Lord, the sacrament when taken unworthily is to your damnation. As a sacred ordinance, like all other ordinances, the prayer for the bread and new wine (water) is fixed and special.)

There Is A Holy Sacred Way To Administer The Sacrament:

The scriptures tell exactly how we need to administer the holy sacrament to the members of the church that has been baptized and are worthy to partake.

The Lord wants the members of His Church to meet every Sunday to worship and to partake of the holy sacrament worthily.

The holy sacrament is administered by those who hold the necessary priesthood authority, like a Priest of the Aaronic Priesthood, or Elder or High Priest of the Melchizedek Priesthood.

These Priesthood holders break the bread into small pieces, then they kneel, and one of them will bless the bread, after the way the Lord did it.

Then others holding the Priesthood then pass the sacramental bread to the members of the Church.

A Priesthood holder blesses the new wine (water), and then it is passed to the members of the Church.

Jesus Christ gave to His Apostles new wine when He introduced this sacred sacramental ordinance.

Matthew 10:42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Luke 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost,

Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; …

(The Lord wants us to use new wine, which is like grape juice, not old wine which people get drunk, for it is a curse. But we can use water.)

Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink?

It doesn’t matter to the Lord what we eat or drink for the sacrament, as long as you will remember Him and what He has done for you.

Matthew 15:11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

As members of His Church, you need to listen to the words of the prayer for the bread and prayer for the new wine (water).

You need to understand the words on what you are promising to the Lord and what He is promising to you.

The sacramental prayer for blessing the bread should be like this:

“O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it, that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him and keep his commandments which he has given them; that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen”.

The sacramental prayer for blessing the new wine (water) should be like this:

“O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this [new wine] (water) to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son, which was shed for them; that they may witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they do always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen”.

This sacramental sacred ordinance must be very simply and done reverently.

Think about your baptism you made with the Lord and the promises you made to Him and the blessing He will give you when you are worthy.

What Are The Covenants You Renew During The Sacrament:

What are the blessings the Lord promises you as you keep those covenants?

Every week when you partake of the holy sacrament, you renew your covenants with the Lord.

A covenant of the Lord is a sacred promise between Him and you.

These covenants you make are in the sacramental prayers of the bread and new wine (water).

When you covenant with the Lord; you are willing to take upon yourself the name of Jesus Christ.

By partaking, you show you are willing to be identified with Him and His Church.

You are willing and commit in serving Him and your fellowman.

You promise to Him that you will not bring disgrace, dishonor, embarrassment, humiliation, or reproach, blame, criticism, or condemnation upon His name.

You make a covenant with Him to always remember Him.

You promise to keep all your thoughts, feelings, and actions for Jesus Christ, and you will be influenced by Him and the Holy Ghost, to help you in this life.

You promise to keep all of His commandments when you partake of the sacrament.

You took these sacred obligations upon yourself when you were baptized, like when Jesus Christ was baptized.

Jesus Christ gave us His pattern for baptism and He gave us His pattern for partaking of the Holy sacrament and He said that when we follow this pattern, repenting of your sins and believing on His name, you will gain a remission of your sins.

Luke 1:77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

Luke 3:3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Jesus Christ has promised that if you keep your covenants and ordinances of baptism and sacraments, we will always have His spirit all the time.

Having His spirit, you will have knowledge, faith, power, and righteousness to gain eternal life in happiness.

Though out the week you must keep Him in mind and repent of your mistakes.

What Is Your Attitude When You Partake Of The Sacrament:

Remember of baptism promises we made to the Lord.

Sometimes you may want to fast to get more in tune spiritually with the Lord.

Keeping yourself worthy, so you can partake of the sacrament.

You need to repent of your sins before taking the sacrament.

1 Corinthians 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

When partaking of the sacrament, you need to be thinking of the Lord, and not worldly thoughts.

You need to be asking the Lord to help you with your own will to be like Heavenly Father’s will.

You need to act reverently.

You need to be thinking of the Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ and how you are grateful for it.

You need to look at your life and ask for ways to improve it.

You need to renew your will to keep all of the commandments.

You do not need to be perfect before you partake of the sacrament, but you must have the spirit of repentance in your heart and mind.

Heavenly Father has many blessing in store for you to have.

Remember, Jesus Christ died for you and your sins if you repent.

Choose the right and He will be with you and strengthen you.

How long is Eternity?

This life is very short compared to Eternity, this is a test for us here.

Whether we live a few moments in the mother’s womb or 150 years old, compared to the Eternities, this life is nothing, we are here to choose the right and marry and raise a family of children unto God.

Families are forever with God.

The Apostle Paul talks about the 3 Kingdoms or Glories.

1 Corinthians 15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial : but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

1 Corinthians 15:41 There is one glory of the sun , and another glory of the moon , and another glory of the stars : for one star differeth from another star in glory.

Three Kingdoms of Glory:

There are three kingdoms of glory: the celestial kingdom, the terrestrial kingdom, and the telestial kingdom. The glory we inherit will depend on the depth of our conversion, expressed by our obedience to the Lord's commandments. It will depend on the manner in which we have "received the testimony of Jesus".

Celestial Kingdom – Like the - Sun :

The celestial kingdom is the highest of the three kingdoms of glory.

Those in this kingdom will dwell forever in the presence of God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.

This should be our goal: to inherit celestial glory and to help others receive that great blessing as well.

Such a goal is not achieved in one attempt; it is the result of a lifetime of righteousness and constancy of purpose.

The celestial kingdom is the place prepared for those who have "received the testimony of Jesus" and been "made perfect through Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, who wrought out this perfect atonement through the shedding of his own blood".

To inherit this gift, we must receive the ordinances of salvation, keep the commandments, and repent of our sins.

"All who have died without a knowledge of this gospel, who would have received it if they had been permitted to tarry, shall be heirs of the celestial kingdom of God; "Also all that shall die henceforth without a knowledge of it, who would have received it with all their hearts, shall be heirs of that kingdom;

"For I, the Lord, will judge all men according to their works, according to the desire of their hearts".

"I also beheld that all children who die before they arrive at the years of accountability are saved in the celestial kingdom of heaven".

There are three degrees within the celestial kingdom.

To be exalted in the highest degree and continue eternally in family relationships, we must enter into "the new and everlasting covenant of marriage" and be true to that covenant.

In other words, temple marriage is a requirement for obtaining the highest degree of celestial glory.

All who are worthy to enter into the new and everlasting covenant of marriage will have that opportunity, whether in this life or the next.

Love Heavenly Father, Love the Lord Jesus Christ, and Love the Holy Ghost, Be Beloved, Be Holy, Bowels of Mercies, Do All Your Duties, Forbearing One Another, Forgiving, Helping the Poor, Humbleness of Mind, Keep The Commandments, Kindness, Longsuffering, Meekness, Repent and Forsake

Terrestrial Kingdom – Like the - Moon :

Those who inherit terrestrial glory will "receive of the presence of the Son, but not of the fulness of the Father.

Wherefore, they are bodies terrestrial, and not bodies celestial, and differ in glory as the moon differs from the sun".

Generally speaking, individuals in the terrestrial kingdom will be honorable people "who were blinded by the craftiness of men".

This group will include members of the Church who were "not valiant in the testimony of Jesus".

It will also include those who rejected the opportunity to receive the gospel in mortality but who later received it in the postmortal spirit world.

Telestial Kingdom – Like the - Stars :

As one star differ from another star in glory.

Telestial glory will be reserved for individuals who "received not the gospel of Christ, neither the testimony of Jesus".

These individuals will receive their glory after being redeemed from spirit prison, which is sometimes called hell.

Perdition :

Some people will not be worthy to dwell in any kingdom of glory.

A place of outer darkness.

They will be called "the sons of perdition" and will have to "abide a kingdom which is not a kingdom of glory".

This will be the state of "those who know [God's] power, and have been made partakers thereof, and suffered themselves through the power of the devil to be overcome, and to deny the truth and defy [God's] power".

Hands that Shed Innocent Blood

Denied the Holy Ghost

The Lord Jesus Christ, wants the best for you in these Latter-days and it is this sealed book just for you which is not the Bible. The Bible and this other Book will be one in His hand in the Last Days before Armageddon and go to all nations round the world.

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

In the Sacred and Holy Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
