021 – What is the Gift of the Holy Ghost:

The Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead:

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Matthew 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

The Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit.

The Holy Ghost does not have a body of flesh and bones like we do now.

The Holy Ghost influences are everywhere.

The Holy Ghost is to bear witness of our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ and of all gospel truths.

Being worthy, the Holy Ghost purifies and sanctifies us to prepare us to dwell in the presence of our Heavenly Father.

When we repent of our sins and forsake them, the Holy Ghost purifies our hearts so we no longer to desire to do evil again.

There are major differences between the Holy Ghost and the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The Gift of the Holy Ghost:

There is a difference between the Holy Ghost and what is called the gift of the Holy Ghost.

When you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, it is a privilege given to you when your faith is in Jesus Christ.

You need to be baptized by the priesthood of priest of the Aaronic priesthood, or holding the Melchizedek Priesthood into Jesus Christ’s Church.

By laying on of the hands of two or more, holding the Melchizedek Priesthood has the power and authority to give the Holy Ghost as a companion for guidance and inspiration.

It takes the higher priesthood to give the gift of the Holy Ghost with the Melchizedek Priesthood by laying on of the hands.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

Acts 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

You need to believe in the gift of the Holy Ghost, which is the same enjoyment as the people did during the time of the Apostles received the Holy Ghost.

You need to believe the gift of the Holy Ghost in all of its fullness, greatness, powers, peace, comforted, and glory.

When doing good, can bring the guidance of the Holy Ghost, which is different from receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Many may feel Holy Ghost presents and are blessed by him.

To have the Holy Ghost continuously, you need to be baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by a priesthood holders laying on of hands.

Many people learn by the power of the Holy Ghost when they read the scriptures to know that they are true and from God.

This initial testimony will grow and it lets them know that they need to be baptized to have the Holy Ghost as a permanent companion.

They may feel his presents for awhile but the Holy Ghost will leave in time and the Holy Ghost will let that person know for the feeling will be gone.

When You Receive The Gift Of The Holy Ghost:

How do you receive the Holy Ghost as a constant companion?

After you are baptized and by laying on of the hand for the gift of the Holy Ghost.

When you have faith as a little child, our Lord will bestow the gift of the Holy Ghost upon you by the power and authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood, being worthy of such a gift.

Every worthy Melchizedek Priesthood holder, may give a baptized person the gift of the Holy Ghost, when authorized.

There is no guarantee that a baptized person will receive guidance and inspiration from the Holy Ghost.

When a person receives the Holy Ghost, it is based upon their worthiness and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and keeping of the commandments.

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

To get help from the Holy Ghost, we must search in our hearts seriously, intently, and most of all sincerely for answers.

To have the Holy Ghost with you, you must always keep your thoughts and actions pure at all times, in school, at work, at home, at friends, with groups, and at play.

You learn to recognize the influence of the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Ghost communicates to you in a quiet voice.

With loud noises or music, it is very hard to hear the quiet voice.

1 Kings 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

You need to clear you mind of distractions to listen to that still small voice of the Holy Ghost.

You feel that small still voice, more then you hear it.

You need to be in tune to the spirit of the Holy Ghost, just listen.

As you listen more and more, the small still voice will get stronger and stronger.

The Holy Ghost will prompt you to do something or to say something, or his voice will caution you or he may warn you about something.

What Is The Greatest Gift Of The Holy Ghost:

What are some of the blessings you can receive, which there are many?

Having the Holy Ghost is one of the greatest gifts from our Heavenly Father.

We need to thank our Heavenly Father for the Holy Ghost.

By the power of the Holy Ghost you may know that God lives, and that Jesus is the Christ.

The Holy Ghost will reveal to you that His Church will be restored to the earth in the last days.

His gospel will go to all nations, kindred, tongues, and people, before the start of Armageddon.

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

In His restored Church in the last days, missionaries are needed to go to all nations and people of the earth before Armageddon.

With your worthiness, you become sanctified by the Holy Ghost to help prepare you for God’s presence.

Acts 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

John 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

John 17:18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

John 17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Romans 15:16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

1 Corinthians 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:

1 Corinthians 1:3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

By the power of the Holy Ghost and our worthiness, you will be able to enjoy the gifts of the Spirit.

Through the Holy Ghost, is the love from our Heavenly Father which will bring peace to your heart and an understanding of the things of God.

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

1 Corinthians 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

1 Corinthians 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

With the Holy Ghost, we can spiritually discern the mysteries of heaven and where we will go in the next life.

Matthew 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Mark 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

Mark 4:12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

1 Corinthians 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Ephesians 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

The Holy Ghost is the greatest gift from God.

The more you listen to the Holy Ghost; he will help you to obtain the highest kingdom in heaven.

How long is Eternity?

This life is very short compared to Eternity, this is a test for us here.

Whether we live a few moments in the mother’s womb or 150 years old, compared to the Eternities, this life is nothing, we are here to choose the right and marry and raise a family of children unto God.

Families are forever with God.

The Apostle Paul talks about the 3 Kingdoms or Glories.

1 Corinthians 15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial : but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

1 Corinthians 15:41 There is one glory of the sun , and another glory of the moon , and another glory of the stars : for one star differeth from another star in glory.

Three Kingdoms of Glory:

There are three kingdoms of glory: the celestial kingdom, the terrestrial kingdom, and the telestial kingdom. The glory we inherit will depend on the depth of our conversion, expressed by our obedience to the Lord's commandments. It will depend on the manner in which we have "received the testimony of Jesus".

Celestial Kingdom – Like the - Sun :

The celestial kingdom is the highest of the three kingdoms of glory.

Those in this kingdom will dwell forever in the presence of God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.

This should be our goal: to inherit celestial glory and to help others receive that great blessing as well.

Such a goal is not achieved in one attempt; it is the result of a lifetime of righteousness and constancy of purpose.

The celestial kingdom is the place prepared for those who have "received the testimony of Jesus" and been "made perfect through Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, who wrought out this perfect atonement through the shedding of his own blood".

To inherit this gift, we must receive the ordinances of salvation, keep the commandments, and repent of our sins.

"All who have died without a knowledge of this gospel, who would have received it if they had been permitted to tarry, shall be heirs of the celestial kingdom of God; "Also all that shall die henceforth without a knowledge of it, who would have received it with all their hearts, shall be heirs of that kingdom;

"For I, the Lord, will judge all men according to their works, according to the desire of their hearts".

"I also beheld that all children who die before they arrive at the years of accountability are saved in the celestial kingdom of heaven".

There are three degrees within the celestial kingdom.

To be exalted in the highest degree and continue eternally in family relationships, we must enter into "the new and everlasting covenant of marriage" and be true to that covenant.

In other words, temple marriage is a requirement for obtaining the highest degree of celestial glory.

All who are worthy to enter into the new and everlasting covenant of marriage will have that opportunity, whether in this life or the next.

Terrestrial Kingdom – Like the - Moon :

Those who inherit terrestrial glory will "receive of the presence of the Son, but not of the fulness of the Father.

Wherefore, they are bodies terrestrial, and not bodies celestial, and differ in glory as the moon differs from the sun".

Generally speaking, individuals in the terrestrial kingdom will be honorable people "who were blinded by the craftiness of men".

This group will include members of the Church who were "not valiant in the testimony of Jesus".

It will also include those who rejected the opportunity to receive the gospel in mortality but who later received it in the postmortal spirit world.

Telestial Kingdom – Like the - Stars :

As one star differ from another star in glory.

Telestial glory will be reserved for individuals who "received not the gospel of Christ, neither the testimony of Jesus".

These individuals will receive their glory after being redeemed from spirit prison, which is sometimes called hell.

Perdition :

Some people will not be worthy to dwell in any kingdom of glory.

A place of outer darkness.

They will be called "the sons of perdition" and will have to "abide a kingdom which is not a kingdom of glory".

This will be the state of "those who know [God's] power, and have been made partakers thereof, and suffered themselves through the power of the devil to be overcome, and to deny the truth and defy [God's] power".

Hands that Shed Innocent Blood

Denied the Holy Ghost

The Lord Jesus Christ, wants the best for you in these Latter-days and it is this sealed book just for you which is not the Bible. The Bible and this other Book will be one in His hand in the Last Days before Armageddon and go to all nations round the world.

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

In the Sacred and Holy Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
