Your Heavenly Father knows your heart and what you stand in need of and you are special to Him.
When you rob your Heavenly Father, you are truly robbing your self of greater blessings that you stand in need of.
Malachi 3:8 “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.”
Malachi 3:9 “Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.”
Malachi 3:10 “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
It is a test of your faith for Heavenly Father really does not need money.
There is a difference between wants and needs, we look at our wants and God looks at our needs.
When the Lords give’s you that blessing is at His due time and not when we want it or think we need it now.
We may think it is important now to have that blessing, but God is in control of every thing.
Heavenly Father said “keep all of His commandments and we will have the blessings of heaven.”
John 14:15 – “If ye love me, keep my commandments, see also Matthew 5:19.”
Paying tithing to His Church leaders is in keeping this commandment and helping others
How do you show your thanks and your attitude and love for our Heavenly Father, the giver of all blessings to you?
Matthew 5:19; Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
2 Corinthians 9:6 “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”
2 Corinthians 9:7 “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
We need to pay tithe of one-tenth of what we earn.
Our tithe should be paid first before other needs or requirements, like food, utilities, clothing, home, and etc.
When you pay tithing you show your love for Heavenly Father.
Heavenly Father loves blessing His children that loves keeping His commandments.
This will help and teach our family and children the faith of paying tithing and offerings, those great blessings come from it.
Giving your tithes has greater power when it comes to blessings, but keeping His commandments comes first.
Giving willingly is very important part of exercising your faith and trust in our Heavenly Father.
2 Corinthians 9:6 – “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”
2 Corinthians 9:7 – “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
Mark 9:39 "But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me."
Faith proceedest miracles.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
1 John 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
God loves a faithful tithe payer.
As members of the Church, we give tithing and other offerings to the Lord in
money, goods, talents, and time.
Tithing is used by the Church leaders for many purposes. Some of these are to—
1. Build, maintain, repair, improve, and operate our meetinghouse.
2. Provide operating funds for the Church. These funds are used to carry out many of our programs in the Church, which include teaching the gospel and recreation and social activities and helping the needy.)
3. Help with our - everyone is a missionary - program.
4. Print and distribute lesson materials.
5. Help in building the Lord's kingdom and His work.
Offerings - Church members; they contribute to helping other areas of the Lord's kingdom to function. They may give as generously as they are able. This offering is called the special offering. Church leaders uses these special offerings to provide food, shelter, clothing, and medical care for the needy.
As part of the special offerings, members attend a meeting called the special offering testimony meeting, where they share with each other their testimonies of Jesus Christ and His gospel and Heavenly Father and how it has effected there lives.
Everyone is a Missionary - Funds - Anyone can contribute to our - everyone is a missionary - funds to the Church leaders to help spread the gospel around. These funds are used to help support missionay efforts.
Helping Services - Our members also offer their time, talents, skills, and goods to help others that are in need. This service allows the Church leaders to help needy members and nonmembers around the community, especially when disasters occur.
How do our other offerings in addition to tithing show that we love our Heavenly Father and He loves us?
Malachi 3:10 "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."
The Lord really promises to bless you when pay your tithes and other offerings.
The Lord knows our needs and He will bless us greatly.
There are difference between needs and wants.
When we give with a glad heart, greater blessing will come to us.
As we give, families will grow together more.
You are also building the kingdom of God on earth, and you will be blessed for it.
As you count your blessings, and name them one by one, you will be amazed at how much the Lord has blessed you and He truly loves you.
Genesis 14:19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
Genesis 14:20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Malachi 3:11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
2 Chronicles 31:5 And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.
2 Chronicles 31:6 And concerning the children of Israel and Judah, that dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were consecrated unto the LORD their God, and laid them by heaps.
2 Chronicles 31:12 And brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: over which Cononiah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was the next.
